Plan Check
Plan checks are conducted by the Fire Prevention Bureau for all commercial and residential occupancies which include:
- Architectural plan reviews
- Tenant improvements
- Automatic fire sprinkler systems
- Underground fire service and appurtenances
- Fire alarm systems
- Special fire protection systems
Prior to plan check, a contractor based in Burbank who is submitting fire system plans must have a current annual Business Tax.
A contractor not based in Burbank who is submitting fire system plans must pay a Contractor's City Business Tax at the Building Division. Please bring that tax receipt to the Burbank Fire Department.

Tuesday: 07:30 am - 9:00 am
You may also drop off plans at the counter during the following business hours:
Monday - Thursday: 7:30 am - 5:00 pm
Friday: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
