On July 14, 2017 at 2054 hours, the Burbank Fire Department responded to a house fire on Hampton Road. Upon arrival, units found a home that was almost fully involved in fire with flame lengths of 20 feet coming from the rear roof. Battalion 1 assigned crews to fight an interior extinguishment attack, search for occupants, roof ventilation, exposure protection for the surrounding homes, rapid intervention, utilities and medical. The Burbank Police Department provided traffic control.
The extinguishment was accomplished with 25 personnel on four Engines, two Trucks, a Rescue Ambulance, Battalion 1 and Battalion 2 from Glendale Fire Department. Battalion 1 requested Prevention 1 and Investigator 1 to investigate the cause and origin. The Gas Company responded to confirm that the gas was off and there was no gas leak inside. The Burbank Fire Corps responded and set up rehabilitation for all personnel. There were no reported injuries to personnel or civilians.
